So what next of News Corp and UK plc? Hacking-Gate

As days go by, more and more details are being revealed. There does not seem to be much more new revelations of hacking however this is clearly because the investigation stage has hardly begun. What we are seeing at the moment is a playground fight. The politicians, the Met police and the Journalists. It is so clear that there are some unresolved revenge between them. Particularly between politicians and journalists. The Labour party desperate to take advantage of the coalition's frailty and the coalition finding it hard to pedal fast enough to keep up.

The important thing to remember here is why this all came out on the first place? People that were courageous enough to come out but also to be able to use a very effective ACT of parliament, The Public Interest Disclosure ACT or ( The whistle blowing ACT ). Did it meet it's purpose? Seems like it! Sean Hoare was that brave man. His death a coincidence? Perhaps, perhaps not. Would this Hacking-Gate ever have happened without this Act of parliament?

Louise Mensch had a dig at Piers Morgan today at the comity hearing and refused to re-quote what was said when CNN and Piers confronted her on air. Louise was able to use her Parliamentary privileges that made her bullet proof from any liability case put on her from Piers. Louise made the mistake of saying she was using quotes instead of just making it clear she was using snippets from his book and was trying to justify their demand that Piers should also testify under Oath. Quite clearly there is something bubbling in the surface that politicians are itching to get exposed about certain Journalists that they find hard to expose without good evidence.

Who will win this War? It's all up for grabs right now. It's just a shame that day by day the focus is being dragged away from why were are investigating and taking action against this in the first place. It's quite clear that News papers are losing their influence in the world thanks to better web news exposure and social media. I wouldn't be surprised if we, the people, report most of the news in the near future .....
